Supporting the Integrated and Sustainable Management of Historical Oasis Landscape of North Africa

📣 About 30 oasis experts met in Tunis (24-25 May) for the consultation workshop organized by @ARS Progetti, @BTE Bureau Tunisien des Études and ArChiam Architecture and Cultural Heritage of India, Arabia and the Maghreb within the framework of the study "Supporting the Integrated and Sustainable Management of Historical Oasis Landscape of North Africa".

➡️ The meeting was convened by the Tunisian Ministries of Environment and Agriculture and funded by the @World Bank with the support of the @PROGREEN Trust Fund.

👉 Participants were experts from institutions and academia as well as oasis practitioners from Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt.

✨ The meeting, both in person and through remote connection, discussed themes relevant to the protection and valorisation of the environmental and cultural heritage of historical oasis landscapes.

🌍 After the fruitful meeting, the ARS Progetti Team travelled to the oases of South Tunisia to gather information and learn from local experiences.
